 It’s almost September! I’m looking forward to soup season and hearty meals. What are you currently reading or watching?

  Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday! The pupperonies woke me up to be let out but once they get their butts back in here we are going back to sleep. It's too early to be awake and I'm still tired.  How is everyone doing today? Any plans to close out the weekend? 

Huh. It's (well into) Saturday Night, and there's still no Social. Wonder if maybe  I can make a Social. . . . Ah, well. If this works, how're you all doing tonight, then?

 Sometimes, one loses track of what day and what time it is.  That has been my for the last three or four days.  Apologies for not getting this post up earlier!   It's rainy and humid here in the shire. There's lots of things I need to get but I am hoping to stretch them out and use today to just catch my breath.   How's the weekend shaping up?

Good morning! Dolly is the only way to kick off Friday. Fuck this entire week. It's been sad. I'm getting my hair trimmed & indulging in some retail therapy before I leave in the morning. Mostly boring necessities, but if a few fun things end in my basket, so be it. ;) I'll be back later this evening & will try to check in. In the meantime, how's your Friday going?

  I'm back from the cottage; done for the year. Today will be cleaning the car, gassing it up and returning it to the rental place, then starting the unpacking process. What's everybody else doing?

 Today I am scheduled to fly home.  Please do whatever you do to bring me luck making my Philly connection. If I can do that, it will be a win for the ages.  It's my birthday week. Except for recovering from my journey, I have zero plans.  What little (or big) wins are you doing the dance for today?

  This will be my last day at the cottage for the year, I think. What's everybody else doing?

I’m in a book rut, though I just started The Mortons, described as “a fresh, fun, and sneakily hilarious dark academia romp”. My holds list is at its maximum of 25 books so I have to start working through it.

  Happy Sunday! Is anyone else absolutely over the heat? We are in a terrible heatwave and it is supposed to last at least another week. I’m ready for some cooler weather already. Hopefully everyone else is staying cool and enjoying some more reasonable temperatures wherever you are. I’m going to try to get myself out of the house for a bit today. Maybe do some shopping and possibly make a trip to the cemetery while I’m out. Nothing too exciting, but at least it gets me out of the house!  How is everyone doing today?   Happy Saturday night, gang! I've spent the afternoon painting by numbers & enjoying how zen it is while Pal games. Later, we'll make some veggie chicken sandwiches. Boring, but we're making a mixed berry baked brioche French toast for breakfast. I got hungry just thinking about it, lol. The bread is nearly stale enough so we'll throw it together before bed.  How are you? What's for dinner?

 Hello from the past!  It's another pre-post for while I am away. This weekend is Camden Passage, Hever Castle, Sunday Roast and shenanigans.  I am looking forward to Hever. We're bringing wine and watching a joust while we're there.  Will we look like tourists? Probably. I am ok with that since we are just that lol.   How's your weekend looking!  Once again, I cannot comment from my phone, but I'll be looking in every day and keeping up from afar!   Let's hear what you're up to this weekend!

Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday!  Well, I’m officially sore from scrubbing grout and tile, so that was my workout for the week. My breakfast is going to be leftover pizza because I'm too tired to cook. I don’t have much of a plan today, so I’m probably going to go shopping just to kill some time. Do I need anything? Nope. Will I probably spend too much money? Yup! What are you all up to today? Fun plans? Or will it be a day of errands, relaxing, or just seeing where the day takes you?

 Hey gang!  I'm so glad that the weekend is here. There is much to do but I'm feeling it!  It's kind of nice having the house "company clean" already. It's giving me the space to tie up some loose ends and set up a very clear system for plant watering. My spouse does NOT follow directions well, so it needs to be as foolproof as possible!  I'm going to schedule a couple of posts for while I am away.  I am not bringing my laptop, but I'll be keeping up on my phone-- just not commenting.  How is your weekend shaping up?  Hopefully you've got some fun and some "you time" on the vagenda! 

  Good morning! It's still in the 80's while I type this at eleven pm. Gross. Tomorrow's errands can wait, plus Pal needs to borrow my car anyway. Despite Dorothy's always solid pizza request, I plan on convincing Pal to go out for tacos & margaritas when he gets home. :) How are you? Any plans for the weekend?

  I'm hoping to take the car and finish the bulk shopping today. I'd planned to do it yesterday, but there were thunderstorms, so I decided it could wait. What's everybody else up to?

 Good morning and hello from my little cave. I brought my laptop into my bedroom last night and I must say, it's quite cozy doing all of my "business" from bed.  I even watched a show last night.   Everyone but me is going out for a sail today and I couldn't be happier about having the place to myself. (Win!)  I think that I'll lay out my trip ensembles and shave down the pile a little. I hate packing because it requires me to somehow intuit both the weather and my daily vibe.  I cannot predict either.  Tell me about your day-- and your packing tricks!

  Weather permitting, I think I have to start my shopping for the last cottage trip. I'm planning on heading downtown to replace my broken water purifier. I may swing past a department store to see if I can find anything polka dotted; I think they have hair bands, and hair clips. For, ya know ...; I'm fully embracing fandom, or as the band says the fank lob. What's everybody else doing?

He was absolutely odious. It stinks for the Dem's chances, sadly. There's always a but. The usual fuck its abide--abolish ICE, close the camps, fires, war, & so on & on & on.   Remember your self-care. <3 We're having a low-key weekend. My dinner plans are actually next weekend so I'm free as a bird. Fuck yeah! How are you?

 Here's me laying around reading grocery flyers when I realize that it's Wednesday. Today's win- The lane is empty until Sunday.  All of the visitors and summer people have headed home. I will enjoy a few days' reprieve before the next batch arrives.   I am looking forward to the fall group- a mom & daughter from Tennessee. Those ladies can hang   What's going on with you today?

  Happy Monday!  Let’s talk food & whatever media you’re enjoying right now. I saw Spider-Man:Brand New Day at the historic theater last week with my son and it was nice to go to a movie. I’ve been in a lull with audiobooks so have been putting on some cozy games livestreams from YouTube while I sew and cook. I started watching these during the pandemic and I find it soothing. What’s on your menu for the week? Anything you’re cooking up with summer’s bounty? I make more pancakes in the summer thanks to fresh berries available as a topping.

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! We are having a terrible heat wave and it's miserable. I went to Target at 8am yesterday and was sweating walking back to my car. No fun. Today will be spent inside with the air conditioner on.  What are y'all getting up to today? I hope you are staying cool.

  Believe it or not, it's here! Festival week has been a banger so far.  The shire yards are full of tents & campers and no spare bedroom is empty. Summer shenanigans abound.   How's your weekend looking?
