There's signs of spring popping up in the shire. The lobster traps are out of the sheds, lined up and ready to load. The co-op has palates of soil & mulch just outside the door. And the ice is gone from the sea. As ready as I was for winter, I am that ready for spring. Someone does need to tell the weather forecast though. There's a LIST of warm weather projects that need doing around here, including the back deck and the roof. Ugh. I'm looking at maybe incorporating planters into the deck? My herbs would look good there. Plus, plain old maintenance is a drag. I need it to be fun!! How's your spring shaping up? Any fun (or not so fun) projects on the horizon?

Happy Saturday night, friends! We actually managed some yard work between rain spells & are rewarding ourselves with tacos. Monday is already Mondaying hard today. False spring really had me fooled until I woke up to snow. Actually, I woke up to the dog whining to go out and then saw the snow. Mr put the coffee pot into the dishwasher last night. Bad idea. How do you make it a worse idea? Leave the timer on the machine for 7am. It ran with no pot to collect it. Coffee on the counter, coffee on the floor, coffee in the cabinets, coffee everywhere but in my cup. This is not a fun way to start the day! I'm feeling worse again and yesterday was difficult. I'm throwing in the towel on toughing it out. I'll call my doctor when the office opens and ask about getting seen. Hopefully they're not out of magic feel-better pills. Aside from the cleanup, I'll be taking things easy today. How are you doing?

Well, folks, it's already a weekend. I mentioned my dad's health stuff yesterday. Apparently he decided to add onto that by threatening suicide, freaking out when a psychiatrist came to evaluate him, and getting a 48 hour hold. To top that off, he decided to fight the security guards who were trying to cuff him. When they brought in two more guards, he continued to fight them. He gave himself a "cardiac event" and freaked my mom out enough that she had my brother come over to their house to remove all our dad's guns. He also yelled at the guards, "Keep fighting me so I can have a heart attack and die!" So, he's being held until Sun. but everyone is dreading his release. I talked to a friend who's had some experience with this sort of thing, and she said my mom can call the psychiatrist and hopefully, get them to keep him longer. The 48 hour hold was instated before the assault of the guards, so hopefully, they'll extend it. And that's ...

I'm getting a dental scan this afternoon for my lower retainer that needs to be replaced because of the implant and I have a couple of errands to do on the way home. The weather is supposed to be around freezing, with some scattered snow, so not bad overall. At least this week's AI cat doesn't have to worry about the weather. How's everybody else doing? Good morning, GT! Happy Sunday! Today is my birthday so I'm scheduling this ahead of time since I will be spending the day with my family. I usually don't care much about my birthday, but I turned 35 and for some reason that is feeling significant to me. I've been in my head a lot this last week which isn't unusual for me, but it's definitely more than usual. I've been reflecting on my life and where I'm at, and for the most part I'm happy with where I'm at, but there are some things I want to work on. I feel like I've reached an age where I really can't delay certain things anymore even though I may really want to lol. I also can't believe I've been hanging out on GT for so long. I first discovered Jezebel and then GT when I was 19! That's crazy to me. Anyway, I hope y'all are having a lovely Sunday and are enjoying some much deserved down time or fun time.
