Morning ya'll! Sorry about missed post last week - had been traveling boo. How are you all? We made it to Friday thank GAWD. Oh lord do I have some stuff to tell you all! Ok so my Fuck It is for the dating app world. I just need to get off those things bc while I know it can be great for some, the universe puts guys on my path that always SEEM nice and normal and then BOOM - crazy. So remember scuba guy from like two years ago? I so so liked him, met him on a boat, he liked me a lot, or so it seemed, we dated two months. He went allll in, calling, texting, we had the same humor which kind of hurt the most losing that bc that's really hard to find. Then he drops me (I'm 41, him 43) for his ex I find out who was a stripper (no shame girl) 23, and gave me no closure or reason. That one hurt bc I didn't meet him on the app. Anyhoo, fast forward to finding out he dates a lot younger, and dates for months then claims they always have issues. Good morning, groupthink! I woke up with this song stuck in my head. It inspired my throwback Thursday question: Did you have a favorite pair of shoes growing up? I liked my Roos even though it was sometimes impossible to get the quarter out for ice cream at lunch. My very favorite pair were Punky Brewster sneakers with mismatched laces. Adding a bandana tied around one leg really brought the look together. 😂 I'll leave y'all to it this morning--I have to make a few calls & tackle paperwork, but will check in later. And I'm finally feeling normal after our fun outing to Uncle Nearest's Distillery on Saturday. We both learned a lot & drank a little too much. I was in the drugstore the other day, and realised that they were playing this song over the PA system, as they do in stores. Usually some generic soft pop; from maybe the 90's or early 2000's. Stuff you heard a million times on the radio (or whatever your preferred musical download system). So I'm checking out, and I thought; "This sounds familiar" trying to identify it from the snips I could hear over people talking and the checkout machines. And I thought; "It sounds like ... really? Hey, loves, how ya doin'? This week was fookin' roof. I'm so glad it's done. Our college laid off a number of faculty yesterday and, because our college is awesome/s, they did not tell us how many people were let go across campus, which departments lost people, etc. So all yesterday afternoon (because, of course, they dropped the news at 4pm on a Fri.) was everyone calling, texting, dropping by, trying to figure out the who/what/where/when/why. :\ I'm wiped. Homey and I are ok, so thank goodness for that. It's just a lot. And of course, no word on any admin being let go! 😠 Anyway, today, I am meeting up with a friend to look at books. The rest of the weekend will be lazing. How about you?

All the schools around us are canceled, but our college is only delayed... so far! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 Hopefully, that snow keeps coming and they call it. Even if they don't, I might just cancel my classes and go in and do some work in an empty classroom. Class is important but not important enough for my students to be driving in on icy snow. Also, some of my students have kids, who are now going to be home all day. I swear, sometimes our college doesn't think about shit like that at all. 🙄 Anyway! How are you all? Good morning, GT! Happy Sunday! I woke up to the sound of rain which was unexpected. It’s not a lot of rain, but just enough to get everything wet and muddy. If it’s going to rain I want A LOT of rain. For those of you dealing with the very cold temps, how are y’all holding up? Staying warm and toasty? I heard the temps are supposed to warm up so hopefully that pans out for y’all and you’ll get a break from the cold. On another note, what is everybody eating/cooking lately? I ate out quite a few times last week and it left me feeling pretty blah. Lots of heavy and greasy food which my body just can't handle so well anymore. I also had a few margarita which I'm sure didn't help. The socializing was worth it though! Anyway, I haven’t cooked any of my HelloFresh meals so I need to do that today.
