 Good morning Monday!  Spring has sprung and the bugs are awake and alive!  I did not miss them.   Today will be tidying up and sorting through what can be packed up to bring home. Bring on the bins!  I also need to come up with a hat for my sister's Kentucky Derby party. I'm not sure if we'll be here but I need something "just in case".  I'll grab something inexpensive and bling it out.   What's your Monday looking like?  

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! I can't believe it's already Sunday and the weekend is almost over. Lately it seems like the weekends are passing by SO quickly. No bueno. Anyway, I don't have much scheduled for today because frankly I'm mentally exhausted and I just need to veg out before I have to tackle all the things that are coming up this week. Maybe I'll go to the grocery store, but that's it.  How are y'all doing?

  Morno, GT--welcome to Sat. 💜 What's your plan for the weekend?  We're supposed to get rain, winds, and maybe tornadoes this weekend. I have a massage this morning and was considering yoga tomorrow but we'll see how the weather pans out.   So, today, I'm thinking of getting that massage, grabbing some veggies on the way home, then settling in with a book and a Buster for a rainy day nap.  How about you ?

  Morning, GT--happy Wed.! How are y'all doing, midweek? I'm taking a mental health day today which, sadly, will be spent doing some work but (!) it'll improve my mental health to get stuff done, so I'm calling that progress.  Today is also my wedding anniversary with Homey. I think the plan is dinner and a movie. He wants to see Civil War, I want to see Abigail, so we'll see. As of today, we've been married 23 years (!!!), which is crazy. I always give him crap about marrying a child bride. ;D How about you ?

  I bought a washing machine! Finally! It will be delivered next Wednesday (I hope), and they are supposed to take the old one away. It's as analog as possible, with dials, and was about $850 Canadian (with tax). Different topic; a question for the single GTers; do any of you find that you are treated as being less competent than your married friends or relatives? Do your married friends/relatives talk down to you, or give you unsolicited and condescending advice and don't listen to your reasons for doing things? I'm not really talking about parents, or older relatives, but peers in age.

 Happy Monday!  It was a busy weekend here and now I am off to Arizona for a few days. Speaking of which, could someone do a Friday post this week for me?    I'm having a cold sore breakout under my nose so that's nice.  I hate that the smallest things seem to be the most uncomfortable and annoying.   Today I'll finish up packing and tidy up the house a bit before heading to the airport.  Nibling asked last night if we can get small, matching tattoos to commemorate the trip.  Ummm....  I'm gonna need to think about that one kid.  What's going on where you are?

  Good morning, GT! Happy Sunday.  I'm up early this morning, but not as early as I had been waking up so I can't complain. Sleeping until 5:30am is much better than 3:30am. I do feel like I'm on the verge of a cold so that's no fun. My body is feeling a bit rough and my nose is stuffing up a bit which is usually a first sign. I'm going to blame it on taking my grandma to the doctor since I haven't really been anywhere else that was both crowded and full of potentially sick people. Oh well. Hopefully if it is a cold it clears up quickly and isn't too rough.  Anyway, how are y'all doing today? Any fun plans to close out this weekend? 

  Good evening, groupthink! Ruby & I just got home from fetching tacos & guacamole & are about to settle in for a evening of television. A final night of glorious laziness. :) My solo week was a nice mix of work & rest & just the right length. It'll be nice to have Pal back tomorrow & I don't have to pick him up from the airport, a true kindness, lol. What are you up to? 

  Morning, y'all, how are you doing?  It's cold this morning, but I have a friend date, so I need to get dressed and out into it eventually. At least we're going to a cozy cafe with a fireplace. :)  I just finished up my 3rd consecutive week of 50+ hrs/week of work, so I am ready for a goddam BREAK. Aside from my friend date, the only thing I have planned is to make a yummy quiche for dinner. I'm hoping to cuddle up with a book and a Buster for a good portion of the day.  How about you ?

      Hey, folks, it's a post and run from me today. Sorry! Hope you're all well. 

  Good morning, friends! It's day 3 of my staycation & still loving it. It's overcast & threatening storms & I'm regretting having to leave the house. At least my in person trip to the bank won't take long, but having to get dressed just to go sign something is annoying. Maybe I'll grab lunch, too.  Did you guys know about the cast & crew of Titantic & the PCP laced craft services clam chowder? This story missed me somehow. Anyway, I laughed a lot at this part in the Guardian's post about it: It’s a doozy. In 1996, during the filming of Titanic, about 80 people including  James Cameron  and Bill Paxton ended up in hospital after some of the food on set was spiked with the hallucinogenic drug PCP. It was reported at the time that Cameron shouted, “There’s something in me! Get it out,” while a conga line formed around him. Jokes aside, that's a scary thing. I wonder who & why? What's happening with you today?

  I don't have much planned for today, although I do have some plants in the backyard that I want to relocate ; I want to put a raised bed right where they are, so they need to be moved. I've been planning this raised brick bed for a couple of years, and maybe this will be year it gets build. I also have a couple of dogwood shrubs to plant in the planters that my side gate is attached to. It's supposed to be nice today, and then for the next three days.

 Good Monday morning folks!  It's going to be a busy week here with Mr's birthday on Friday, trip prep and taking nibling to the free art museum at Harvard.   Today is a stay at home day.  I need to get my insurance's prescription coverage sorted and get one big chore done.  Yesterday it was under the fridge and yikes.   Is anyone else doing spring cleaning?  Seasonal or otherwise, what big jobs do you do periodically?  And how's your week ahead looking?

I'm very much enjoying this rain after a week of too warm temperatures. I'm not ready for the warm weather so any break from it is very much appreciated.  How is everyone doing today?   Good evening! The days are getting so much longer, time got away from me. I'll keep this brief since it's a little late. Pal's going out of town next week so we're spending some quality time finishing Ripley. It's quite good! Plus, it's a distraction from news anxiety. Also, I really want ice cream & might talk Pal into fetching some. ;) What's happening with you tonight? 

Good morning, GT! Happy Saturday!  We're supposed to get hot weather here (the low 80s, today and tomorrow!), so it's really starting to feel like spring here. My dumb ass thought I'd hop up, grab some coffee, and run out to do some yard work before the sun gets to that side of the house. But, it's spring, not summer, and it's still in the 30s right now, so that plan's a bust. Guess I'll have to do sunscreen and all that jazz. So, my plan today is yard work and spring prep and, depending on how my brain is feeling after that, some grading.  Tomorrow, I'm hoping to run errands, be a bum (or grade), then one of my besties and I are walking and going to candlelight yoga.  How about you ?   Good morning! It is still stormy here & I'm so sleepy that I all want is to stay snuggled in bed. I wish I could. We're having dinner at our new, favorite Korean restaurant tonight.   Morno, GT--how y'all doing? What's on the horizon for you today?  We are supposed to have nice weather here, so I'm going to ask Homey to help me pull patio furniture out, so I can grade outside this afternoon. Tonight will be leftover enchiladas, a nice walk, and a movie.  How about you ?

  I bought new walking/running shoes yesterday, and I'm hoping that they may solve issues of the sore knee and hip. I usually buy Nike, but the "updated" version of my current ones has less cushioning than my old ones, which are presumably not providing enough cushioning. So I went next door, and for $100 dollars less, bought a pair of Skechers. So I'll have to see how they compare for walking the dog and going shopping.

 My area is awash in eclipse fever but I know not everyone is in the path.  In the US, it is also National Have a Coke Day and for some reason, National Root Canal Appreciation Day?  And it's International Red Cross Day so we can all observe something today. I guess we'll be at about 94 or so percent totality around here.  My bestie in the shire is in the totality path and I am missing her party.  But it will be fun to watch it with the niblings and see my meteorologist BIL nerd out. I have some grocery shopping to do but it will be a pretty low key day aside from that.  What's going on for you?

  Good morning, everybody. Happy Sunday!  Cosmosito woke me up early and I haven’t been able to go back to bed so my head is feeling a bit foggy this morning. I’m hoping that will clear up once I shower. The little stinker just wanted a treat. He didn’t want to go outside to use the restroom or anything. Now he’s back sleeping and I’m very jealous.  Anyway, how is everyone doing today? Any fun plans for the day? 

  Happy Saturday night, friends! We're hanging out watching a little basketball. Dinner will be an assortment of snacks. We're living the quiet life tonight. Maybe a movie later if we feel crazy, lol. We do have a very nice bottle of Mezcal so it's not completely boring. ;) It's lemony food season & I've had a craving for lemon icebox pie. That might happen next week if it warms up a bit. Pasta with lemon, asparagus, & toasted bread crumbs is on the menu tomorrow. Do you have any favorites?  What are you up to tonight?

I have some grading to do, a couple of hours' worth, but I think I'll do that tomorrow, as I have a massage this morning and it might be nice just to have a totally lazy day after that.  Tomorrow, we're doing potluck brunch at my mom's house for her b-day (she had me very young, so she's only turning 66!).  Hello and Happy Friday Friends.  I've been away for a minute nursing my flu.  0/10 would not recommend.  I'm all jacked up on steroids now so hopefully, things will be turning around soon. Personal fuck-it-  I've strained some chest & rib muscles from coughing.  The urgent care doctor said no prescription cough meds are needed.  Coughing up stuff is good.  Not for nothing but can a bitch get some codeine?!  Coughing til you injure yourself seems like too much of a good thing so yeah, fuck him.   My biggest fuck it is for Israel followed closely by my own government.  Why are we giving them more bombs and money to continue this shit.  It's surreal. As always, fuck the republicans always and forever. Take it away y'all.

  Mornin', GT--happy Wed.! What are y'all up to?  We're getting an ice/rain mix right now but it's light enough that I don't expect any delays. I'm sitting down to some coffee and banana bread before heading in to work. How about you?

  We're supposed to have rain for a couple of days, which we need, but it's delaying a couple of shopping trips; I'm in desperate need of new running shoes, if my sore leg is any indication, and I want to buy a pretty, "new" spring coat from an upscale consignment shop in my end of the city. In the past, I've bought a couple of beautiful jackets consigned by someone who is exactly my size, down to the (short) length of the arms. But that will have to wait until the end of the week, I think.
