Happy Monday y'all! Can you believe that it's almost April? I was irresistibly sleepy yesterday afternoon and ended up in bed for 4 hours. So that should fuck up my sleep nicely for the coming week. With spring coming I'm thinking about planting again. I've put my garden aside because I just don't have the energy for it anymore. I'll be doing some potted herbs and probably some tomatoes on the deck. I also have a couple of potato bags so they'll at least be some potatoes. I'd like to get more flowers going in the pots and hanging baskets on my deck. I don't know a heck of a lot about them so any reccs are welcomed. What's going on today and this week for you? And tell me about your plants if it's your thing too!
Good morning, GT It’s Sunday and I’m bummed that the weekend is almost over. It always goes by way too quickly and I could use another day or two of relaxing. How are y'all feeling? Have you been enjoying the weekend? I'm not sure what’s on my agenda for today. I was going to go do stuff, but woke up feeling very lazy and feeling like I just want to loaf around. I do need to go get gas or I’ll kick myself tomorrow for not doing it. Maybe getting up to do that will motivate me to do other things. If not, it'll be a day of loafing and watching tv. I have to take Buster to the vet beforehand, and grab groceries afterward, but then my plan is to stay indoors as much as possible this weekend. Reading, yoga, TV, a nap(?!?!), and some good food--these are how I plan to finish spring break. How about you?

My SIL gifted us some cinnamon-infused vanilla extract, and a college friend sent me some maple-roasted pecans at Christmas, so I think we'll put both of those to use this morning--should be good! I didn't get all the grading done that I needed to yesterday but I actually decided to give myself a damn break today. I only have a few more papers and I can wrap those up on Sun. Good morning gang. My day started off with a bang- or rather a call. I'm back home now though with all the niblings where they belong and the cupboards stocked. I was very low on groceries and had to resort to butter & jam on a hotdog roll for a midnight snack. It filled the hole but it wasn't great. Anyhoo, we're gearing up for what will either be an epic storm or a bust. Nobody knows. I'm going to try to finish my coffee before the next round of whatever pops up. What's going on GT? Hello, GT. Happy Sunday! I forgot we changed the clocks last night and woke up wondering why it was so dark out at 6am. I'm actually feeling pretty good and the time change is hopefully going to work to my benefit. I've been waking up way too early the last few weeks so I'm hoping the change in time will help me reset my sleep schedule. How are y'all doing with the time change this morning? I'm realizing that the time change may impact my plans for the day. I'm supposed to have brunch with my mom and grandma, but I'm not sure if my grandma remembered to change her clocks. I'll gave to call her this morning to make sure she has the right time. Anyway, what's on everyone's agenda for the day?

The niblings are being baptized tonight (guuuuuh), so I have to memorize my lines for that. It's in a Catholic church, and the script thing... feels culty. But, assuming we don't burst into flames upon crossing the threshold 😉, we'll get through it. Also, do I need to get gifts for baptism??? No idea. Help me! It's a ridiculous show, but I'm hooked. Yesterday, we registered to attend a rally at a local gay bar to protest the hateful treatment of the LGBTQ+ community. Then, my anxiety kicked in when I thought about who else will be there & I had to cancel. We're still donating, but how shitty is that? My gun anxiety just can't handle it. Good morning. I can't believe it's Monday already. Our "snowstorm" ended up being a massive 3 inches, womp-womp. I hope all of those people buying out the grocery store like it was the apocalypse feel badly now. Probably not though lol. It's time to get back into the swing of things I guess. I'll be working on getting things here in the states in order and planning the journey back to the shire. Lordy am I ready to stop moving for a while. I have to decide if I'll stick around for St Paddy's. In my family it's affectionately known as Irish Thanksgiving and it is a very big deal. Pros- hanging out with my family. There's a place near us that does a drink called a coconut Nirvana and I have been looking forward to one all week. After that, Homey and his brother are going out of town for the day, so I think I'm on my own until at least after dinner, so I'm having a Me Party! I might go visit the niblings, I might go to the co-op and fondle veggies, I might nap... I don't know. But I'm stoked for some quiet time. I had 15 minute conferences with each of my students this week, so I am ready for some solitude. Anyway, how about you? You up to anything fun this weekend?
Happy Friday, everyone! We are finally here, wow did this week drag ON. Thanks to everyone who had some nice words of WTF about the guys in my location just being douches. Just unreal. Thank Gawd for fur babies! QuiQue has been my little rock and after a bad day, he's always there to purr, knock over a water glass, the usual. The weather has actually been nicer this week with some breeze? South FL usually gets maybe 3-5 days of 'cool' weather but I think those have passed. We would get frozen iguana reports on our news stations poor little guys. They'd freeze and fall off trees but then thaw out and be on their merry way. I'm nervous because I have to fly out to Michigan on Sunday for work and I am not used to that kind of cold? So tomorrow I am going shopping for some clothes and layers because I'm a complete wimp and only used to flip flops. I hope I am able to find some stuff. Anyhoo how are you guys? Weekend plans?
Good morning, GT--how the heck are ya today? It's very springy this week--warmer, vascillating between all the rain and so much sun. I'll take it. :) My meditation this morning encouraged me to think of one thing I can do less of today, then experience the physical relief in my body, once I let go of that thing. That was a really useful exercise for me, so I thought I'd share it with y'all. My day is packed, and there is a lot of stuff I really must do. But, I don't have to worry about getting it done, so I chose worry less. How about you?
