    Morno, GT--how are ya? It's a rainy morning here. Hopefully, it'll clear out soon! I've realized recently that I like a rainy day, a rainy afternoon, or a rainy evening but I don't like a rainy morning followed by a sunny afternoon. It's hard to shake those cozy vibes once they're settled in and be productive, dang it!  Anyway, how about you? What are you up to today?

  I'm off to have lunch with some retired library friends today, so I'm looking forward to that. On the way home, I'm going to pick up some groceries to take to the cottage; I'm planning to go up this weekend, and I need to take some non-perishables. I already have my library books, so I'm good there; I just need food. And we won our fight to prohibit laneway houses on our street! Our city councillor introduced a motion at a city council meeting to exempt us from this type of development, and it passed the vote, so that is a huge relief. What is everybody else up to today?

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday!  This weekend has been filled with Olympic watching and it’s so fun to see all these excellent athletes. Our USA gymnastic girlies are looking fantastic and they are such a joy to watch. I’m also glad I started venturing into other sports during the last Olympics because I’m very much enjoying volleyball, water polo, soccer and basketball. I’m usually not much of a sports person, but this year things are hitting different for me.  Anyway, I’ll be stepping away from the TV this morning. I’m taking my grandma and dad to the cemetery and afterwards we’re going to stop for some breakfast. When I get back home I need to throw in a load of laundry and start the dishwasher. Now that I think of it, I should probably do that before I leave.  Anywho, how are y’all doing today? Are y'all watching any Olympic events? 

Happy Saturday night, friends! It's been an Olympics filled day here with a little soccer, badminton, diving, & men's gymnastics. I like it because of the parallel & high bar skills, but the rest could use a little updating tbh. At least get rid of the pommel horse--it looks like pure torture.  There's an outrageously expensive bitcoin "conference" in town tonight featuring the Orange Loser, Jr. & the like. Bad vibes sent. This, however, is seriously funny/true. 😂 What's up?

  Good morning! It's yet another glorious day with clouds & my other half is leaving for a short work trip. Sweet! I will miss him, but am so looking forward to it. My plan is to speed clean the house first & watch a bunch of movies & eat snacks. US Olympic soccer began last night & I'll be watching our 1st women's game, too.  President Biden's address last night made me cry. He's a good person & I'm still upset, but also hopeful.   Morning, GT--sorry this is a bit late, I forgot to set it up before bed. We had a big, unexpected thunderstorm here last night and it looks like it's got the potential to hang around all day. That wrecks my plan! I was planning on tons of outdoors time. D'oh! Now I'm thinking of making a huge ass cold brew, and vegging out. I still haven't finished my annual Harper's Island watch for the summer...  Anyway, how about you? How's your midweek lookin'?  And some good news, if you need it: Dems have raised more than $250 million since Biden endorsed Harris! One Dem strategist said, "Joe’s sacrifice has put people in the mode of sacrifice.”  Let's keep this energy through Nov.!

  I had a tooth reinforced yesterday; the edge is paper thin, and I hope the filling holds. The tooth has been like this for over 30 years, and every 2-6 years, the filling compound falls off. This morning I'm off to the chiropractor to deal with a rotator cuff issue. I went last week, and I think it's a tiny bit better this week, so maybe we can build on that. I'm having trouble getting washed and dressed, so it's having an impact on my daily activities. I don't think it's a tear; probably a strain or a spasm somewhere.

 It's Monday and things are feeling surreal.   I'm going with gifs today.  You are welcome to join me or just talk about your weekend, your day today- whatever.  It's all good.

Hello!  I'm scheduling this one so I can sleep in and rest my sore muscles.   A big 'ol fuck it to the repubs.  Those sycophant idiots wearing ear bandages as some kind of tribute or whatever would be funny if it wasn't so pitiful.   Fuck the dems too.  How did they blow up this whole election season up so very thoroughly?  Sigh.   My fuck yeah- Kayaking was so very awesome.  We received some unexpected rain- like the heavens opened and the waters came down. The short walk back from the river to the car was just ridiculous. Even the bridge had standing water on it. We were in good spirits though and the day was filled with hilarity. Now we're tired and sore. There's something so affirming about pushing your boundaries.  I can't wait to go again! I know that things are overall exhausting lately and that so many of us are dealing with extra BS on top of the current state of affairs.  I'm hoping everyon...

  Morno, GT--how you doing? Homey's colonoscopy is this morning AND the weather is going to be much more pleasant than it's been in a few. I'm excited to get him home and into bed and get some outdoor time for myself, once his sedation wears off.  How about you? Hopefully, some nicer weather is making its way to you, too. 💙💙💙

 I lost a small filling yesterday, at the edge of a tooth, so I guess I'll be calling my dentist today to get that looked at, and I have chiropractor appointment today as well, and hopefully that will help with my lower back spasm. I know they have a bad rep, but I find mine very helpful for things like this. How about everyone else's day?

 What a weekend.  Today I'd like to talk about random stuff  because my mind does not really know where to go.   Let's start with Mongolia's Olympic Opening Ceremony Uniforms.  I am loving them.  The embroidery is amazing and includes the Olympic torch, representations of the sun & moon and the emblem of the  Paris Olympics.  Bravo.       And this is Zora, a Jack Russell Terrier.   I might be in love. Today I will be doing some laundry and perhaps making cookies if it is cool enough.  Aside from that, I am just rolling with it.   Morno, sweets--how are ya? Happy Sat., happy weekend!   What are you up to this weekend? Today, my big plan is a lavender festival at a local farm. It's near where the in-laws live and, because I am a good wife, I invited them. I'm looking forward to it--the lavender is supposed to be in full bloom and there are going to be vendors selling lavender treats and crafts. It'll be hot (so, so hot) but hopefully fun.  I was planning on another hot yoga class tomorrow but we'll see, with the heat the way it is. How about you? Is it outdoor oven time where you are? And what's on your vagenda for the weekend?

  Morning, beauties, happy mid-week. What are y'all up to today? I hope everyone's who's being impacted by Beryl is safe and sound 💙💙💙  It's supposed to rain here today and be a bit cooler so my plan is an early morning walk, some housecleaning and organizing, and making enchiladas for dinner.  Also, I'm stoked because a nearby theater is showing Dirty Dancing in a couple of weeks and I got tickets! Homey's never seen it and said, "I can't believe you're making me watch this with you." I told him, "I can't believe you get to watch it with me!" It's a classic from my childhood, something my friends and I watched a million times. What are your childhood classic movies?

  Another hot one here today, and then on Wednesday/Thursday we may get the edges of Hurricane Beryl, which may mean a LOT of rain.  I finally braved the 90 F temps yesterday and did shopping (although I took the transit rather than walking the 2 miles there and back), so I may finally do my laundry today.

 Hey Monday!  Where did the weekend go? I've got some laundry to hang and some loose ends to tie up from my week of purging and organizing. What's doing with you?

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! How are y'all doing today?  I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of cats fighting outside my window. Those boy cats sure are vicious towards each other. It took awhile for me to get back to sleep but I was able to get in a few more hours which was nice.  I'll be going to brunch with my mom later this morning and I'm debating if I should get a mimosa flight or a coconut lime mojito. Both options sound really good and I'm sure I'll be happy with either. Anyway, what are y'all up to today?

  I'm planning to head out today to get a new sleeping bag that I can leave at the cottage to save lugging bedding up and down, and some hanging file frames so that I can transfer files into a filing cabinet that my next door neighbour was tossing. That will free up some shelf space, and I can maybe downsize to lower shelves, which will then free up wall space for hanging art. I have it all planned out.

 Happy Monday and Happy Canada Day to those who celebrate! (And it had better be all of you lol.) Today, a tale from my NYC trip- Bestie had never been to the city.  She describes herself as a "bumpkin". Though she is well traveled, she was nervous about what to wear, how to act and that kind of stuff.   We took the train in from New Haven CT.  That line ends at Grand Central and it's quite impressive walking into that iconic terminal for the first time. She was duly impressed.   It is quite another experience stepping out into the street from the station though. The noise, the smell, the crowd, the 100 degree heat index-- it was a sensory punch in the face.
