Good morning, everyone. Happy Easter! I'm up way too early and after I get this post up I'm going to try to go back to sleep for a bit. I can't wait for my on-call week to be over tomorrow so I can take an edible, knock out early and sleep at least 8 hours. This week of inconsistent sleep has me TIRED.  Anyway, I’ll be heading to my aunts house this afternoon and I’m hoping the rain lets up for the drive. I need to pick up my grandma and brother along the way and I’d rather not deal with rain on top of the long-ish drive, holiday traffic and bad drivers. Not a great combo.  What is everyone up to today? I hope you all are doing well and taking some time to do the things you enjoy.

I finally watched Lisa Frankenstein last night and it sang the song of my 12-year-old heart. :) Today, I have to run some errands and go to my dad's birthday dinner. Fuck being sick.  I haven't had anything like a cold for a few years.  Whatever this is, it's kicking my ass.  I have my scans today.  It's a long wait for a reschedule so I'm masking up and taking a handful of meds and going in.   Fuck shrinkflation.  The evil cough syrup folks upped the price from 3 dollars a couple of years ago to over 8 dollars now.  I noticed that the cup only had a 20 ml mark on it which is crazy since the max dose is was 10 ml. They watered it down to half the strength it used to be.  Such bullshit.  As always, fuck the republicans, including this mental giant lol. Happening right now.  Hello again Monday.  This week is going to be a busy one for me.  Today I will be talking to my health insurance folks (again) because shit's still not right.  I got a cancellation notice on Friday despite their assurances that all was well.  Grrrr.  Can we have a fuck-it Monday lol?   Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! How is everyone doing this morning?  I’m a little annoyed with myself at the moment. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling a little cold, but instead of getting up to get another blanket I just went back to sleep and stayed a little cold all night. Such laziness lol.  Anyway, I’m sad that the weekend is already halfway over. I need another day or two to just relax and recharge my batteries. I think I'll do a quick run to the farmers market this morning and afterwards it's going to be a day of loafing and self-care. It has been a minute since I've taken the time to do a face or hair mask.  How are y'all doing today? Any fun plans to close out this weekend?

Pal's away & Ruby & I are looking forward to a chill evening with snacks & watching Lisa Frankenstein.  Random question, but remember when 1-900 numbers were all the rage for phone psychics, sex, & all sorts of random topics? I got in so much trouble for calling one with a friend to learn "what they won't tell you about Elvis' death." 😂 We weren't even Elvis truthers, just bored kids. The bill was $50 for, like, 5 minutes & we learned nothing, lol.  Anyway, did you ever call Miss Cleo? Or tell us what's happening tonight. :)

Morning, GT--happy weekend! I am SO. EXCITED. for this weekend! Homey and BIL are driving to ol' St. Louie for a concert tonight, so I have the house to myself for, like, 30 hours. I have no plans, except for a walk and breakfast with my besties tomorrow. Otherwise, it's me'n'Buster time. :) I think I'm going to order dinner in, maybe... but even if I have leftover chili, I'm so stoked for some quiet and some down time.  How about you?  Hello and Happy Friday.  The New England Spring is doing its thing here.  It's 27 degrees but I may be back in just a tee in a couple of days.   Today I am headed back to the grocery for the one thing I forgot.  You'd think that after being here for 6 months I'd remember that I don't have a freezer full of broth.  Whatever.   Good morning! It's officially spring & everything here is green & full of pollen, lol. It is also quite pretty! I have a dull day ahead with some tax prep & paperwork so nothing terribly exciting to share. Today is my brother's birthday & I'll be watching college basketball tonight in his honor, a nice little tradition I think he'd appreciate. :) What's up with you today?

I'm up in the middle of the night 😭👍, so I figured I'd get a post up.  Yesterday was Homey's birthday and we got the cutest phone call from the baby nibs, wishing him happy birthday. The phone is still magic to them, and Homey is their favorite celebrity 😁, so it was a lot of excitement about hearing his voice. Two toddler voices going: "Homey? Homey? Homey! HOMEY!!" followed by "BUH-day" wishes. The cutest.  How's your week? You hanging in there?

This gif was weird enough that I had to use it.  Sorry this post is a bit late; I meant to do it last night and completely forgot. My doc wants to talk to me about my cholesterol, which can't be good. This is new; I've never had an issue before, so I don't know what to think. We have a phone appointment tomorrow, and I'll get the scoop then. I will admit that I think I've been eating a bit junkier over the last few months. Anyway; I'll hear tomorrow.

 Happy Monday gang!  I hope everyone had a satisfying weekend. Today I am going to do a check-in with my parents.  Mom isn't looking good and none of us can do a repeat of November.   I'm also starting what I hope will be a walking program.  I'm well enough again to get more disciplined with my activity and diet.  I'm looking forward to feeling better about that.   What's on your Monday list?  And how's the week ahead looking? 

  Good morning, GT. Happy St. Patrick's Day! As usual I’m up way too early and can't seem to go back to sleep. Womp womp. It's still too dark out to do anything so I'll be loafing around for a bit enjoying the silence. Once it’s not so dark out I’m going to head out for a drive to the cemetery since I didn’t end up going yesterday. When I get back I’m going to start the corned beef and pick some grapefruits and tangerines. There is still SO much fruit on the trees but I'm burning out on picking everything.  Anyway, enough from me. How is everybody doing today? Any fun plans for the day?

  Good morning, belovey-loves. How are y'all? What's up with you this weekend? My plan is quiet, quiet, quiet time. Weather permitting, I'm going to go on a solo hike this morning, then maybe grab a fancy coffee. I have a book I need to read for work, and I am going to listen to that while I do some cleaning.  Tomorrow, the only thing I have planned for sure is a candlelight yoga class, which I'm really looking forward to. OK, on to the fuck its- Fuck my spouse.  We're planning on some new living room furniture later this year.  Currently in the shire we have a giant, ugly leather couch that we got second hand.  It's awful and I hate it.  I REFUSE to replace it with a similar giant couch, let alone the two  he suggested "for symmetry".  GTFO with that nonsense.  Why do we have to live in 1995?  I want a ladylike sofa and a couple of nice accent chairs dammit. It's going to be a battle. And fuck the prices of just about everything lately.   Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! I woke up very confused about why my neighbors were slamming car doors and playing musical cars when it was still pitch black out. Then I remembered the time change and things made sense again. Darn time change throwing me off.  Oh! I should explain the musical cars. There is a single story triplex next door to me and the residents have 11! cars between them. The cars take up their entire parking section and driveway so when one person has to leave almost all the cars have to be moved. It's noisy but usually happens after I'm awake so I don't usually care. It's actually pretty entertaining to watch most of the time. Anyway, enough of that rambling. How is everyone doing today? How are we feeling about the time change? I could use a bit more sleep so I'm going to try to squeeze in another hour of two once I post this. I hope y'all have a wonderful day and can adjust to the time change with ease.

    Hey, GT--how's your week going?  Yesterday suuuucked and I came home from work and cried, so that was cool. I got a good night's sleep and stood in a hot shower to release my neck tension this morning, so hopefully today is better.    How are y'all ? Do you have some good stuff planned for rounding out the week?

  Nothing much going on here today. Boone has been here a full two weeks now, and is settling in nicely. I took a friend out for their birthday yesterday, and he was in his crate for about 4 hours, and seemed fine when I got home, which is the longest he's been alone here so far.

 Well hello again Monday!  I'm starting my week with a trip to the attorney's office to sign some estate stuff.  Maybe I'll have lunch with Mr to reward ourselves for that hard-core adulting. It scares him and turns him into a cuddly boy.  How are things looking in your part of the world? We've had time to wrap our heads around everything & have landed firmly on fuck that place & the horse it rode in on. Pal already has a couple more job offers & it will be fine. Still, fuck them for wasting so much of his time. And a big Fuck You to SCOTUS, obviously.  Pal has a lock-in at work tonight to send off everyone which means I can finally let loose a little & have the house to myself. Fun fact:  watching "Welcome To Wrexham" cheers Pal up & we made it through 18 episodes before he recovered. 18! I haven't watched Bravo all week, lol.
