Hi all! I was waiting for an OT but thought this might be a good post on its own. It is inspired by my discovery this past weekend that my doctor friend has never heard of tomato sandwiches! I was flabbergasted! I offered him different options for dinner Saturday night, and I had a ton of fresh garden tomatoes from my grandmother’s garden. When I said “I can make tomato sandwiches,” he replied in surprise “ Tomato sandwiches??” I remembered that he doesn’t like tomatoes and rescinded my offer. He said, “Wait, back up a minute. Tomato sandwiches? Like tomatoes in sandwiches? Tomatoes in bread?? ” He literally gaped at me in open-mouthed astonishment. He has lived in the US for over 20 years and I forget that he is still learning new things. So how do you like your tomato sandwiches, if at all? I’ll post my answer in the comments.
