  I don't see a post for this morning, so I'm putting this one up quickly. Any plans for Halloween? We don't get many, if any kids on my street.

  One more day, y'all! What are you doing for Halloween?  We were trying to decide about handing out candy, but I'm still on the fence. For sure, I will be making mushroom risotto, as it's going to be cooler. Yum! Until tomorrow, what's your plan? Hope you're having a good day 🎃🧡🍂🍁

  It's the end of an era; Boing boing is closing up shop on it's current (free) platform and moving to a paid subscription model on substack. A number of regular commenters have already said that they will not be joining the new community. For the last couple of years, since Cory Doctorow and Xeni Jardin left (2 of the original founding members), the site has become more of an aggregator, with little critical content. I think (like Jezebel toward the end) that people go for the commenting community rather than the content. I probably will not make the jump.

 Well hello and Happy Monday.  It was a chilly weekend here and it looks like I'm in for more of the same.   The Halloween party was fun.  I think that murder mysteries are perfect for awkward people like me.  I go in with a character, a script and a goal.  And there's black and white instructions about how to speak to whom. And cautions on what not to talk about.   I don't think I've ever had that much fun socializing! The baby sandwich was a big hit as were my raisin face moles.  Mr made a few folks scream when he picked one off my face and ate it lol. Poor lil baby was a bit worse for the wear after being passed around a bit.  Anyhoo, it's going to be a busy week for lots of reasons here.  And Halloween is almost upon us!   I'd love to hear about your tricks and treats!  Do you do Halloween?  Do you get a lot of visitors? If you participate, what do you pass out? I'm thinking I'll have a plate of cookies ...

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! Can y'all believe it's already the end of October? How is that possible? It feels like the month just started. I can't believe Thanksgiving is only a month away. I'm so not ready for the big holidays.  Anyway, today I'm going to brunch with my mom and when I get back I'm going to finally make pozole. I've been craving it for weeks but have been too lazy to make it. That ends today. Woot woot! Ok, it's still very early so once this is posted I'm going to try to go back to sleep for a bit. Fingers crossed I can actually fall back asleep.  How are y'all doing today? 

  I have no idea what I'll be doing tonight. Maybe having a bottle of wine and potato chips with my next door neighbour. What about everyone else? Any discos?

  Me, to myself all week 🤣 but also 😭. Thank goodness it's Sat. What are y'all up to, this last weekend before Halloween?  I have to do some work today but I think/hope I can take tomorrow off. Oh, but! I'm going to pick up a book from a local library that's having a cat cafe with adoptable cats this morning!! Maybe it's time for Buster to finally get a little brother? 🤞 Tonight, we're making homemade pizza and will watch a scary movie or two. And tomorrow, I have a warm yoga class, first thing, which I'm so looking forward to. Then Homey has to work in the afternoon, which means some solo time for me (perhaps with a new cat?!?!).  Hello Friday!  Hope y'all are doing well.  On to the fucks--- Fuck the darkness.  It changed so quickly!  My brain is like "must sleep" way too early in the night and way too late in the morning.  Thank goodness the clocks are changing soon so we'll have more sunshine /s. Fuck the fascist, arsonist terrorists and all of their ilk.  Knowing that there is no bottom for them is one thing.  I am freshly surprised each and every time though.  I am at the point where I am more tired than outraged and that scares me just a little.  Boy that got heavy.  On to the fuck yeahs... Today I'm making a mini loaf for my baby sandwich.  Mr has named the doll Ruben lol.  I am really having fun doing this costume.  It's a sign to me that I need to find more creative outlets. They really get  me more engaged.  Fuck Yeah to fish tacos!  Last night's dinner out was delicious and fun.  Shire folk are good for the soul. ...

 The schedule is all fuckered up this week.  I'm putting up a Thursday thread to see how your day is looking?   Mr has music playing here in the kitchen.  It's like nails on a chalkboard for me.  I cannot type or speak when there's something playing in the room.  What's your concentration breaker?  Anyway, I am off to town for date day.  We'll be getting lunch and picking up some costume supplies.  I'll check in when I get back!

Good morning, y'all! I figured I'd go ahead & throw an OT up for HoneyHeart since I won't be here Saturday night. I hope she's just busy & okay.  I'm home today with exciting jobs to do like vacuuming & mopping, lol. Podcasts will help, plus I'm excited for a little road trip back to my old stomping grounds. Mountains & leaves & dear friends sound perfect. And having a clean home when you return makes things easier somehow. Idk. What are you up to? 

  It's supposed to be another warm day here; it hit 77 F yesterday. I have a chiro appointment for my shoulder this morning, will do some puttering when I get home. Maybe I'll finally plant some of those things I bought in the spring. What about you?

 Happy Monday gang.  I hope your weekend was restorative- whatever that means to you.  I got some cleaning done and heard some good, live music.  My hope for the week ahead is to rest a bit better. Hopefully my dog and belly will cooperate! I need to get to town today and try to get some of that cheap Tide before it's all sold out.  I also need to get online and set up my voter abroad ballot.  It's so cool that they have a system for expats.   We got assigned to be Ogres for the Mystery Dinner this weekend.  My spouse is not enthused about this.  I guess I'll look for some stuff in town but if anyone has any inspiration, I am in need of ideas!   What's up in your world?

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday!  We are already coming up on the end of October which is crazy to me. I haven’t done enough to enjoy the Halloween season so I think I’m going to watch some Halloween movies today. I’ll watch the usual ones like Halloween and Hocus Pocus, but not sure what else. What are some of your favorite movies to watch around Halloween?  Anyway, how are y’all doing today? Any fun plans to close out the weekend?

  Mornin', y'all, happy weekend! Any fun fall plans this weekend?  I got my COVID shot yesterday, so I'm going to take it easy today. We have plans with my bro, SIL, and the baby nibs to go watch the annual Halloween parade downtown tonight, but I'm going to play that by ear. Tomorrow, SIL and I are also planning on taking the baby nibs to a Halloween event for kiddos at a nearby nature center. All the Halloween stuff. 🍂🍂🍂 Other than that, my goals are a little bit of work, and a whole lot of rest.  How about you ?

 Welp it's a clear and sunny Friday here.  I should go into town and get some of that Tide that's on sale but I think I need a slower day than that. Let's get to it. Fuck Elon Musk for borking twitter.  I would love to put up the clip of Harris putting the rally hecklers in their place but here's my reaction instead I guess... I had to set up the guest room for a visiting friend so I am tired and cranky after sharing a bed.  I don't have any fuck yeahs atm but the day is young.   What's on your mind today?

    Y'all! I knew this was going to happen. We had a high of 86 on Fri. and, in this moment, our temperature is 27. There was just no easing into late autumn/early winter at all. Is a couple of weeks of 60s/70s with some damn rain too much to ask?! Goll dang!  Anyway, how are you? What are you up to today?

  Good morning everyone. Happy Sunday!  It’s very early and I’m still half asleep so I’m going to keep this post short. Today is going to be a day of rest, relaxation and cooking. I plan to make cacio e pepe for dinner and I’m looking forward to it. I could use a good pasta dinner. I also want to do a bit of a spa day since I’ve been neglecting my skin and hair the last few weeks. They could use a little boost.  How are y'all doing today? Any fun plans for the day?

  Morning, y'all--happy weekend. We are finally going to get some fall weather this weekend. Today will still be warm (70s) but tomorrow, it's supposed to be low 60s and cloudy. Woot!! I told Homey a week ago, break out your soup spoon... the time has come!  Unfortunately, my only for sure-for sure plan for today and tomorrow is catching up on some work.   Good morning! Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend & I'm happy to be working from home today. Yesterday kind of sucked. Pal parked his little yardwork trailer right in the middle of where I back out leading to a nice, new dent in my bumper. Argh. I'll save the boring details of many annoying errands, but my final stop at the grocery was plagued by 3 little girls on rollerblades. 😂 I'm missing so many things bc I was trying to dodge them. They couldn't brake & it went about as well as you're imagining, lol. What are you up to today? Looking forward to the weekend?

It's not quite the above gif, but soon!  Homey has a conference out of town for the next couple of days, so I've got the house to myself tonight through Fri. Mornin', y'all--happy Sat.! It is supposed to be 90! degrees! here today. I am deeply unimpressed with that.   My besties are coming over for a "fall" feast (again, it will be 90). And a viewing of autumnal classic, You've Got Mail ... while cooling down from a 90 degree day. This is some bullshit , y'all! We better have a damn ass, late ass, damn winter this year so I can enjoy my ration of damn fall weather, dammit!  It will be cooler tomorrow, thank goodness! Homey, Baby Bro, SIL, and I will be taking the baby nibs to a nearby agritourism farm that has a bunch of fun stuff to do and see and eat.
