Morno, GT--happy Sat.! What are y'all up to today? I had my vaccine last night, plus still have more work to catch up on, so I didn't plan anything for the weekend. My only guaranteed plan for today is to get a fancy coffee (a creamy coconut Nirvana! Yummmm). Depending on how I feel, I'll either nap and eat frozen pizza, or finish up the last of my weekend work, so I can rest tomorrow, and make not-frozen-pizza for dinner :). How about you ?

Almost forgot to post this! It looks like a fall day this morning. Today I'll be marshalling arguments and formatting them to present to the Committee of Adjustments regarding the proposed new build across the road; the hearing is in a couple of weeks, but the city requires online submissions of objections by end of day tomorrow. The owner is calling it a "Garden Suite", but it is in fact a full-sized house. It will be twice the size of my house, since it will be two storeys, and it will take up 60% of the yard, when the bylaws say it can only take up 40%. So there's a lot wrong. What about all of you?

I have my dental checkup and cleaning today. My dentist of nearly 30 years has retired; noooooooo!!!!! Fortunately I have same hygienist, but if I need any filling done, it will be a new dentist. I have severe dental phobia, and I have a lot of trouble trusting dental professionals, which is a problem, since I have bad teeth.

Happy Wednesday. I'm just gulping down some coffee before I take over with Finn. He's not having a great time adjusting to the new (but also old) environment. I take mine with cream and probably a bit too much sugar. I've been drinking coffee for as long as I can remember. My aunt started the kiddos out with a splash of coffee mixed with lots of milk and sugar. I haven't completely outgrown the sugar part yet. And for fancy coffee, cafe mocha is the besst IMO. Happy Saturday night, friends! We haven't had a food post in ages. We're eating our weight in homegrown tomatoes lately. BLT's, caprese salad, tomato sandwiches, & soon, my favorite, tomato pie. Tonight is a zucchini & pork stir fry with a ton of ginger & garlic. Maybe some popcorn as well if we have room. Oh, I also started my very first kitchen fire on Wednesday night. Just some olive oil on a too hot pan, easily put out with a lid, but I did sort of stare at in shock for a second. Whoops. No harm done, thankfully. How about you?

Today is work and a trip to my hair stylist. We also have nice, cool weather today, thank goodness! It was 97 yesterday, and a high of 75 today. What a relief. How about you?
I'm off to the chiropractor this morning, and I hope I don't melt on the way there and back. Normally on a nice day, I'd walk one way or the other, maybe even both, but not today; transit all the way. The demo is coming along up the street; they have removed the collapsed second floor and are down to the rubble of the brick walls. I saw someone, an inspector I think, watering the window boxes of the house next door with some bottled water. One of the dogs I had my eye on, Mango, is no longer listed on Petfinder, so I think she's been adopted. She looked and sounded like a lovely dog. I'm not ready yet in any case; just window shopping. I'm taking the next couple of months to get going on the post-retirement purge of the house and I'm using the motivation of preparing the house for a visit from a rescue agency to kick-start the project, which had stalled a bit.
