  Good morning, everyone.  I'm awake extra early and I'm sure I'll regret that later today. For now, I'm enjoying the peace and quiet that comes with an early morning. The pups are still dead asleep so I'm trying not to make too much noise. The babies need their sleep.  Anyway, I have zero plans for today other than a quick grocery run. I want ice cream and I also need a couple essentials. What are y'all up to today?

  Here's what it's been like in the shire all week.  And it's snowing 2 hours north of here. This is very unusual, even for us!  I don't know when it's going to be dry enough to work the ground once it does stop raining.  Gardening will not be on my vagenda for quite some time.   How's it looking out your window?  What's the plan this weekend?

 A film of the cats visiting a neighbor    Toni made her last visit to the Urologist yesterday. She is off the hook for 6 weeks. She is already non-compliant on Meds, and whining about it. She will spend the day in Lex with her Yogic daughter-in-law, looking for a fabric store. I will actually do yard work, perhaps fixing fence and gates.  

  Happy Friday, friends! It's been a short week, but doesn't feel like it. New updates were making gifs difficult so here's a pretty sunset from winter. I'm leaving early to run errands, but will be back later to chat & commiserate. With snacks. :) How are you?

It's supposed to be another beautiful day; a little cooler than the last couple of days, but still sunny.  I'm going back to the garden centre today to pick up some more native plants. Maybe some new ones, and maybe some more of the same ones as I picked up a couple of weeks ago, so I can better plant them in masses. What's everybody else doing?

 Hey gang!   How's your day looking?   More importantly, what are your thoughts on jumpsuits?  I really  don't like stripping down to pee, especially when I am out and about.  Yesterday though, I bought one.   There's this little thrift-ish shop nearby where the owner takes thrifted items and reimagines them. Nana style house dresses are turned into cute twin-sets, skirts and tops are combined into dresses. It's really cool.  And so, I got the breezy linen jumpsuit. It is awfully chic for the likes of me.   Am I going to regret it when I drop my top onto some pub's restroom floor? Or worse yet, right into the toilet water?  Probably. But for now, I am going imagine myself as the girl who can effortlessly pull this off, figuratively and literally.

  Good Morning, GT. Happy Sunday! I have zero plans for the day other than picking some lemons to make lemonade and loafing on the couch with the puppies.  I will be having a BBQ with some family tomorrow so I should probably do some prep for that but we'll see if I actually get to it or not. I'm keeping it simple with just grilled chicken, ribs, corn, and maybe some sort of mixed bean salad or baked beans so it could all wait until tomorrow morning. We'll see how I feel later today but right now the cramps are still cramping and I just want to loaf.  How are y'all doing today? Any fun plans for today or tomorrow?

  Happy Saturday night, friends! Sorry for the late post. I was taking an epic nap. My trusty hound tells time very well & woke me up at 5:59 for her 6 pm snack session. Good thing she's cute, lol. Now that I'm awake, a taco or three doesn't sound too bad for dinner.  How are you? It's been so long since we last spoke, lol.

 We are not bickering this morning, Toni is out on errands, I am home listening to the radio. It is raining, as it has been since Weds, and will continue until Next Thurs. There is minor flooding in the area. The weather is warm, with daytime temps in the 70s F. American Memorial Day is Monday. It started as Decoration Day after the Civil War. Families would picnic at the Cemetery, and decorate the graves of the Civil War dead with flowers. Mostly in the North, the winners. As the wars continued, it became a general holiday honoring all dead soldiers. Our local Military Cemetery is Green Hill, on the East side of town, containing African-American veterans of the Civil War, and "Buffalo Soldiers", African-American veterans of the Indian wars for the rest of the 19th century. No festivities I know of are planned there.  

  Good morning, groupthink! Thought I'd (quickly) fill in since it's getting a bit late. It's a cloudy, cool, & rainy holiday weekend for us. Fine by me! We're planning a lazy, lazy day then yardwork & new oven acquisition for the remainder.  How are you?

  Happy Friday! We're pretty excited for the long weekend. It's still rainy here & that's a fuck yeah for me. We need it, plus it's a nice break from the impending heat, lol. It was sad saying goodbye to the Late Show & Colbert. The slush fund is crazy as is the IRS immunity.  What's going on? 

 I have so many things I could/should do today; gardening, I need to pick up dog food, and drop off jeans for hemming (still) ...  What's everybody else doing?

Good morning and Happy Wednesday.  I am looking forward to a sunny day today.  I'll take that as a win.   I think it's time to pick up some potting soil for my hanging baskets. These petunias are taking over the house and it will be nice to get them outdoors! 

  I have a chiropractor appointment this afternoon, and there's a health food store a few doors away from there, so I can pick up some specialty items. It's supposed to get really hot this afternoon, up to 29 C or over 84 F.  How's everybody else?

  Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday! I don't know about y'all, but I'm feeling beat today. I very much enjoyed my day yesterday, but I'm tired and could use a day of self-care so that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take an everything shower as the kids call them these days, and tonight I'm going to do a hair and face mask. I'll probably also do an under eye mask and maybe even a foot mask.  How are you all doing today? Are you doing any self-care today?

Not much else to report because my day has been spent lounging around with a book. We're meeting the in-laws for lunch tomorrow & that's my socializing quota met for the time being, lol.  It's the weekend!    What's on the Vagenda? I'll be delivering petunias to some neighbors. I'm also hoping to get the kitchen faucet in now that everything has properly cured.  There are exactly zero social engagements, and I am happy to be saying that! 

 Happy Friday gang!  How are you holding up?   I had an unexpected contractor arrive yesterday and had to hustle out quickly. I'm still reeling a bit. When is a contractor ever AHEAD of schedule?  Fuck yeah to the new counters. They look niiice.   Fuck the 4 inch gouge in the seal that is going to require them to come back out lol. Living in flux without knowing where anything is most of the time is getting old. I suppose this is one of those "It will all be worth it" kind of things.  Right?  Right?  

  Okay, so a lot happened yesterday afternoon. I'm still not convinced that I actually installed google wallet. I dm'd a friend who is much more tech savvy than I am, and who uses google wallet. She was as confused as I was by what I was describing, and after trying to troubleshoot for about 1/2 an hour, she suggested we meet for lunch (have I mentioned how much trouble this is for a ticket just to listen to some music for 90 minutes?), so we are meeting tomorrow. My bank/credit card called about the weird charge on the card! And I said that yes, I'm disputing the charge. He said that if they don't refund the money (it's only 1.99, but we all know that is just the beginning), that the bank can cancel the card and send me a new one. I told him that I do want to do a transaction tomorrow (opening a google wallet account), and that cancelling it right now might interfere with that.   I got a lot done in the garden yesterday; most of the weeds got pulled, and depending on how sore I am today, I may start building some raised beds out of the bricks that I have. And plant my eastern redbud tree.  How's everybody else's gardens doing?

  Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's day to all of you who are celebrating.  I will not be seeing my mom this weekend but it's ok because we will be going out next weekend for her birthday. Today will be focused on my grandma. I picked up some flowers and her favorite breakfast and will head over to her house later this morning with her new patio chair. Afterwards my aunts are going to stop by and we'll spend some time chatting. Finger's crossed there is no bickering.  How are you all doing today? Any plans for the day?

I'm opening a bottle of wine & having "chicken" tenders for dinner. Proper adult stuff. I'll probably work up the energy to throw together a salad, lol. Pal's gaming. We both needed a break & some time to shake off the bad vibes.  What's up?

Happy Saturday!  What's on the vagenda today?    I am off to town to pick up our meat order this morning.  Finn will come along, as he is an excellent errand companion-- even though he stole the shirt I had set out for myself last night and gobbed it up beyond wearing. So much for the best laid plans.  Today is also laundry day so it's going to be fun finding a replacement.  Does anyone else have a go-to outfit or two?  How about a closet full of almost nevers next to the few almost always-es?  

  Happy Friday, gang! Rough week here. They passed the map. It's outrageous stuff. It's hard to know what's next, but it's early days. Obviously, fuck all of it & the racists in charge.  Fuck yeah for the beautiful weather. Once all the errands are finished, it's music appreciation/hiking time. How are you?

  Our vacation is over. Toni has been released from the Hospital, she has passed her kidney stone, and her mild Heart Attack has left no damage. We are flying home Friday, and she has a Medical Appt. Tuesday afternoon. We have resumed our normal relationship of open conflict, Toni apologized to me for ruining my vacation,  I countered with she ruined her vacation, I had several days of peace and quiet in a place I liked.

  Weather permitting, I'm going shopping with my friend A to get some vacuum compression bags (thanks to everyone who suggested them!), and look for a new spring coat. I have a dog walking coat, but not a pretty dress coat. My friend has a favourite sustainable fashion store that she likes, so we are going to try there. And maybe munchies and beer after.

 Well the court has temporarily restored telehealth access to self-managed abortion medications.   I'm going to see Hail Mary this afternoon, with my former next door neighbour. She's seen it before, but says that it's worth seeing again. What's everybody else up to?

  Good morning, GT! Happy Sunday! My 4 day weekend is coming to an end and I'm so sad about it. I would like another few days off. Maybe I'll take another long weekend next week.  Anyway, today is going to be spent scrubbing my stove grates. They are oily and gross. I need to get in a better routine of cleaning them regularly but I just hate doing it. Bleh. How are you all doing today?

  Happy Saturday evening, friends! We'll be watching the Kentucky Derby soon & enjoying a few mint juleps to help forget the week. Horses, hats, & bourbon, oh my! We ordered a bunch of snacks along with a key lime pie from the grocery & they should arrive soon. We're all set for a happy night, lol.  How's your night going?

It's been a tough week & I'm feeling awful dejected about the state things. The biggest fuck you is quite obviously for John Roberts. On the bright side, it's Friday & we're expecting nice weather. My fuck yeah is for lots of gardening, sunshine, & more than one mint julep on Saturday. I'm craving a very fudgy chocolate cake & kind of feel like baking one. We'll see. How are you?
