  Morning, y'all--welcome to Th. What's up with you today?  Homey and I are doing a Costco run, which means stopping for fancy coffee :D This afternoon, I have my first work meeting of the year--but I'm running it and it's a small group of trusted, valued friends, so it'll be good.  Tonight, we're grilling out then going to a driving range that does glow in the dark stuff with BIL and a nibling. Should be fun.  How about  you ? Anything fun planned ad we ease our way into the weekend?

Hello Monday! Have y'all seen this "We Do Not Care Club"? Apparently this lady was having a bad day, posted about it and started a movement. It's hilarious and validating. You can see it  here  because Disqus is being a pain about letting me embed it!  Anyway, I am going to town today because prescriptions need to be picked up.  I'm going with my chipped up manicure that I haven't fixed and getting some McDonald's while I'm there.   Good morning, GT. Happy Sunday!  It’s 3am and I woke up freezing because my a/c timer decided not to work properly and stayed on all night. Whoops. I also woke up with a massive tension headache so that’s fun. Thankfully it’s already starting to subside and I’m hoping I can get back to sleep for a few more hours. I should not be up this early on a Sunday.  Anywho, how are y’all doing today? Can y’all believe it’s already going to be August? That seems insane to me.  

Happy Saturday night, groupthink! We just got home & I'm ready to hit the shower & get comfy. It was nice seeing friends & Pal's parents. Plus, delicious tacos. :) Pal's going to play video games for a bit & I'll probably throw on a movie. What are you doing?

 Hello GT and Happy Friday! Summer is in full swing here which is mostly a fuck it.  Too many people want too many things from me-- my time, my energy, my personal space.  It's a lot and I am tired.   Nonetheless, I am taking teen nibling out today.  I still have a finger in the wind about whether or not I am up for the beach.  Later tonight, bestie and I will be taking her grandkids and my nibling to dinner and family karaoke.  There's way too many news related fuck its to list. Top on my mind is the continued ICE atrocities, Israel and the new war on the unhoused and mentally ill.  They'll be the next ones in detainment centers.  Hope y'all have some good things coming your way today!  What's going on?

  Good morning, GT, happy Th.! Sorry for the later post--we had a storm last night and our internet was out this morning. They got us fixed up quickly, thank goodness. What's your Th. looking like?  Homey and I have a date night planned: we're going to a dive bar with amazing food, then we have tickets to see a production of Little Shop. I'm excited as I've never seen it done live. I do have a very distinct memory of my childhood friend, Lauren, being allowed to watch it at her 13th birthday party because it was rated PG-13 and it was the first PG-13 movie she was allowed to watch. I was sitting there like, My mom rented Rosemary's Baby for me when I was 10... Anyway! How are you?   

  Happy Wednesday, groupthink! Ruby & I are just hanging out, having a little coffee. She says hi! I have to get dressed soon for some sweaty errands. No lunch appointment today bc it's too hot to eat food at noon, lol.  What's up?

 Happy Monday! I am home and it is finally raining!  Sadly, it didn't come soon enough for my basil.   Today will be mostly sloth and recovery. I do have some adult nibling business to attend to. IDK why they didn't reach out to me when I was in the states but young 'uns rarely take the sensible, easier route. Yesterday, on the very long drive home,  I did a couple of "who's your celebrity mate" quizzes.  I got Harry Styles and Brad Pitt.  I like what the Harry match says about me I think. I've got the farmer's market this morning, then a sound bath with one of my besties, and tonight there's a drive in screening of  The Princess Bride  that Homey and I are going to.  Welp... Here I am in the town I grew up in. It seems like the yuck stays here and waits for me.  Today is the wedding and mom started her shenanigans yesterday.  This time she says she has plantar fasciitis and can't possibly attend the rehearsal dinner or wedding.  She does not have plantar fasciitis.  She has a problem showing up for people and getting off the couch in general. And she cannot be left home alone.   My dad is the officiant and so he is stressed beyond belief.  It is not fair that she is doing this. Anyway, there's tantrums and throwing herself onto the floor and all sorts of bally-hoo. Nobody is allowed to have a good time.   Instead of heading to the Cape this afternoon, my sisters and I will head down to the hotel this morning to give dad some relief.  Once again it will be all about her even though it's plain as day that she's manipulating us all. So yeah, fuck all of that. Being here brings a lot of stuff forwa...

I thought I'd easily be up to have a post done by 7 but slept til 8!  We finally get a break in the heat that's been beating us down for the last week+. Today's only a high of 74, which is so welcome. I'll be doing the outdoors stuff: walking, weeding, cleaning my car.  How about you? 

Good morning! Halfway to the weekend! It is definitely still very hot & I have to venture out for lunch in a while. If I hear "patio," I'm bailing. 😂 First though, I'm checking out flights to Chicago & getting excited to visit my bestie. It's long overdue! What's up with you?

Good morning everyone! Just popping in to say happy Sunday before I head out for the morning. I hope you're all enjoying your weekend and finding a little time to relax, recharge, or do something that makes you feel good.  I'm heading out a little early today to catch a movie with the family. I think we are going to watch the new Jurassic Park movie since the original is one of my all time favorite movies. I know it won't live up to the OG, but dinosaurs are always fun.  On a totally different note... I tried mouth taping for the first time last night. Yep, that thing where you tape your mouth shut to encourage nose breathing. It was definitely an interesting experience and kinda disruptive to my sleep at first, but I’m curious enough to keep trying it out for a few nights and see if it makes a difference. Fingers crossed it helps.  Anyway, I hope y'all are doing well.

We have dinner plans at the Mexican restaurant down the street, & it's wrong to be sad about tacos, lol. Plus, a margarita sounds delicious after this shit week.     Mornin', y'all. Today is the Pride celebration in my city, so I'm stoked for that. Homey and I are going to support and celebrate, and hopefully meet up with some friends. I'm definitely looking forward to the feeling of community. Tonight, we're driving out to a flower farm, where they're having a flower festival (music, food, vendors, and bouquets), so that'll be nice, too, How about y'all? How's the weekend looking? 

 Hello there and Happy Friday!   It's grey and cool here today and I am digging it. The big news here in the shire is that we have pizza!  Someone from away bought a piece of property pre-covid.  Welp, they've arrived with a pizza truck.  Their plan was to do festivals and such but so far, between the locals and the beach folks, they haven't needed to leave.  My goodness it was cool seeing Mr walk in with a pizza box. Fuck yeah! I tried on my dress again for next week's wedding.  It still looks good and it's still comfy AF.  I got the cutest little butterfly clips to put on my shoes and I already had a bag that works so I am set!  Fuck yeah to comfy and cute!  I can't wait to see the lil niblings there.  I love it when they get out on the dance floor. A big fuck yeah to the staff at the Ontario (California) surgical center, especially the woman who put her body between the ICE agent and his target.  I mean, fuck everything...

  Good morning, y'all--how are you doing? Any plans for the day?  I'm (finally!) posting some photos from our trip to Costa Rica. Hopefully, they work!    Below, you see me and Homey on the suspension bridges at Mistico Park, then a sloth and a view of the pools/hot springs from our first hotel room.             Next are a view of a toucan and a cup of coffee, both on the deck of the cutest coffee place, Sloffee (Sloth + coffee) on the edge of La Fortuna.     Then the view from our second hotel in Las Catalinas, followed by a monkey in a tree on the beach. He was very social, playing and watching people watch him for like 20 minutes.      A storm moving in, view from a beach called Playa Dantita.     

  Good morning! It's cooler & looks like rain outside. Very nice! I have a ton of errands to run today & appreciate the break. Not much else to report around here. I had apple crisp ice cream for dinner & dessert last night, lol. What are you up to?

 Good morning GT!  I'm supposed to be meeting up with some folks at the beach this morning. It's pretty grey and foggy so I'm hoping they'll cancel.   At the store yesterday, I noticed that the price of coffee went way up all of a sudden.  Has anyone else seen this in your neck of the woods? And how's your Monday looking?

  Good morning, GT! Happy Sunday!  My brain is all out of sorts due to my extra long weekend. I keep thinking it’s already Monday and I’m pleasantly surprised when I realize it’s not. Woot woot! Yesterday I was scrolling through sports news when I came across tennis player Iga Swiatek talking about her tradition of eating pasta with strawberries and cream after big wins! I had no idea this was a thing but apparently it’s a popular dish in Poland and now I’m very curious about it and want to try it. Do y’all think this would be good or weird? See recipe here. Anyway, I need to try to be a little productive today and do some house chores. Laundry, dishes and cleaning the bathroom.  What are y’all up to today?

Happy Saturday night, y'all! I just woke up from a nap & feel a sweaty toddler, lol. If I throw a tantrum, will someone bring me snacks? I am also starving. 😂 We have plenty of leftovers, including some really, really good potato salad. I used Kenji's recipe from Serious Eats. Rice wine vinegar is the key. Hoping tonight is much quieter for us all. 🤞 What's up?

  Morning, GT--I hope you're all resting and recharging, whatever that looks like for you.   Take some time this weekend to remind yourself of the good that's still out there, whether it's some fresh air, a laugh with your family, a hug from a friend, a cuddle with your fluffy friend. It's still out there, we're still out there. The good, and the good people, are still worth loving and still worth fighting for. 💚💚💚  

 Friday's here. Let's get to it.   I'm thinking mostly of today being Independence Day in the U.S.   And today I have only fuck yeahs. Not one character will go to those other mother-fuckers.   Happy 4th to our American GTers.  Only you can define what today means (or doesn't mean) to you. So, let us know. Buster has a million nicknames: Buster Brown, Butter Brown, Buttery Brown, Nuttery Buttery Brown, Handsome Bandsome Baby Buster Brownie, Pumpkin, Punkin, Punk, Punky, Punty, and Se ñor (that's what we call him when we don't want him to know we're talking about him: Has  Se ñor had his morning meal? ). When Boo was around, his most commonly used nickname was Most Booloved. :)  How about your pets? 

  Good morning! I woke up mad today. Plus, I fell asleep on the sofa before my night time routine & Pal had a terrible day at work. And the brownshirts are staking out our part of town all weekend.   Today is Canada Day, which means a bit more this year (elbows up!) I'll be heading to the cottage this week; picking up the car on Wednesday and leaving Thursday, if all goes as planned.
